Pete- thanks for your unbiased feedback. We'll pass this message onto the show and hopefully they can respond. You make some very valid points. Buyers were certainly being "cautions" and I noticed a lot of cash and carry shoppers. I must say that I am not a big fan of all of the shifting and feel it adds a lot of confusion to the attendees. There needs to be more early awareness and transparency of show shifts so that the exhibitor sales are not affected. What company are you with?

I went to the ASD Vegas show as an exhibitor and was very disappointed with it overall. I felt that the show has shrunk considerable, the trade show organizers used strong-arm tactics to allow long-time exhibitors to maintain good spaces -- as they shifted everyone all over the place. The buyers that come to this show for the most part could barely make $100 minimum orders and economic woes aside-- most of these "buyers" were not in any real type of business and seemed to cruise the show looking to buy samples and kill time. We have decided with the show shifting back and forth to the Conv. Center and Sands erratically each year we are hanging up our hats on the show. 50 years in the making? How about 50 years to ruin what used to be a great show!
