We’ve been tight-lipped about this project for about two years, but the release of Manufacturer.com was finally made official three weeks ago at the ASD Trade Show in Las Vegas. Integrated with the largest network of USA wholesalers under TopTenWholesale.com, Manufacturer.com is the first USA-based global trade platform with over 1.2 million active community members. Manufacturer.com was developed with one purpose in mind: It’s a forum for connecting buyers and sellers in global and domestic trade. Already, Manufacturer.com has had surging traffic, and if you take a look at Alexa.com for yourself, you can see that US-based buyers are flocking to greet sellers in over 150 different countries. The site has already earned (at the time of this blog post) a 28,687 Alexa traffic rank, and a 20,310 US ranking.

Locate 1000′s of Manufacturers Worldwide!

To put it another way, this news is important – because your security is important. The exclusive agent to authenticate and verify the information submitted by suppliers for the Supplier Pass™ shield is 1st PMF Bancorp, and as Jason Prescott, CEO of JP Communications INC, directly states it: “The golden shield next to premium listings on Manufacturer.com indicates to buyers that the company is solid, and that they can trade with far greater transparency.” A point to consider about the Supplier Pass™ program is that not all suppliers will qualify for the shield, unless they meet strict guidelines for granting authentication through the verification process. So far, there are over 100 companies that have been granted the Supplier Pass™ shield, and Manufacturer.com is expected to have thousands of Supplier Pass™ suppliers by the end of 2010.

Are You a Manufacturer? Get Your Company Listed!

The ultimate strength of utilizing Manufacturer.com comes from the power to connect USA buyers with verified manufacturers and suppliers in China. “The biggest reason we merged with Manufacturer.com is that our USA network handles the direct advertising for over 2,000 very large, mid-sized and small wholesalers, importers and even exporters ─ these are all buyers to global suppliers,” adds Prescott. In addition, Manufacturer.com is not launching as a standalone operation, with American-based customers from TopTenWholesale, WholesaleU, and OffPriceNetwork providing a way to connect Manufacturer.com members with this huge base of existing wholesalers.

As an added benefit, suppliers can post information about their company and products, search for information on buyers, create custom web templates, post and respond to buying leads, create a company profile, and even create a website template with a general subdomain. Premium members get priority listings, can post unlimited buying leads, receive the coveted Supplier Pass™, and access many promotional options such as banner ads, Supplier Preview video ads, and Hot Product buttons.

Manufacturer.com was originally launched in 2004, and made a historic merger with the JPC INC network in 2008. “Our merger created one of the largest databases of wholesale suppliers and buyers online, as the JPC INC network has connected thousands of suppliers with millions of buyers since 2005,” said Prescott. “This makes a very efficient platform where global buyers can source from a single marketplace.”
