OFFPRICE Show is “Steppin’ Up” with More Footwear and Education!

The largest and only OFFPRICE Show, serving thousands of fashion retailers and other industry professionals, continues to expand in response to buyer demands for footwear, more education, and more great deals.  The exhibition space at The Sands (Expo & Convention Center) for their upcoming Las Vegas Fashion Week Show (February 11-14) is growing to over 1,220 booths and counting, which is also about 150 more than last year’s February Show.  Last August’s successful launch of Special Tours for boutique buyers by T. J. Reid will be revisited to include a workshop conducted by the celebrated author and retail expert.  New York Design Studio Digital Marauders and Online Retail Guru Jodell Raymond will also be giving seminars on internet marketing.

Perhaps the biggest development for OFFPRICE is the expansion of their footwear offerings, as they come in direct relation to buyer demands in 2010, signaling a noteworthy time when shoes surpassed women’s apparel as the most sought after category.

David Lapidos, Executive Vice President for OFFPRICE, said  “Since the beginning, buyers have been coming to OFFPRICE for the best deals in all categories of apparel.  In recent years, we’ve quenched their thirst for more accessories options with an array of terrific new vendors.  Now, we’re doing it for the feet with an exciting crop of footwear specialists showing in February.”

In the past, OFFPRICE has had various footwear jobbers and other merchandisers exhibit since the company’s early days in the mid-1990s.  As February nears, OFFPRICE management has decided to create a dedicated footwear section to accommodate the increasing number of vendors entering the show.

“There will still be footwear merchants in the general exhibit, that still want to be part of ‘the treasure hunt’ of great deals that OFFPRICE is known for,” asserts Lapidos.  “But this new footwear section really helps us to complete the look.”

Lapidos and the rest of the show team also want to emphasize that OFFPRICE has increased all other existing categories of the show.  Lapidos added that “What’s really new at OFFPRICE is what’s old school at OFFPRICE.  There will be more of all the favorites and staples that have literally helped make the season and the entire year for our retailers.  And why is that you ask?  Because our vendors have quality immediate goods for immediate delivery closer to season, and at below wholesale price points.”

Lapidos is referring to the recognized branded and designer names, as well as the generic goods available at the show for unbelievable discounts.  This extends to outerwear, activewear, resort wear, basics and all other categories.

“We are the shining star for the retailer.  The recession has hurt the old way of commerce.  The OFFPRICE Show is what it says: we are off-price.  Regular prices don’t hold at wholesale or retail.  We really are a most viable option to anyone in the retail business.”

The next OFFPRICE event will be held February 11-14, 2011 at The Sands Expo & Convention Center during Las Vegas Fashion Week.  OFFPRICE has expressed a great deal of pride in being given the opportunity to serve as the official off price show of Las Vegas Fashion Week.
