Mini or Micro Hydropower Generating Systems (MHGS) (For reference only, every system will be specially designed and customized to each site.) Where and why to install MHGS? (Suitable site conditions and example applications): The mini Hydropower Generating Systems (MHGS) are suitable for the remote mountainous areas, mainly applicable for generating electricity for lighting, heating water and cooking by using the hydraulic resources in creeks, small rivers, etc.. Unique features and advantages of MHGS: MHGS from ADDNEW are of proven reliable quality, simple in structures, easy to install, operate and maintain. The designed product life is 20 years minimum. The maximum can reach 40 years. All systems are also designed for maintenance free purpose only except the easily-worn or damaged parts like the rubber parts and other similar parts. So till now, MHGS have already been widely installed both in Chinese domestic markets or in many Southeast Asian markets, most of those systems have been acclaimed for their excellent performance and low-noise in operation. Reference Structures of MHGS and materials used in the Runners: Typical structures and turbine types are as follows: For the low water head, the choice will be Rear-Axles Tubular Turbine with Horizontal Generator. Those systems are popular for their better operation, high efficiency, stable running, low cavitations and long service life. Turbine structure adopts the fixed blades to induce the water to the Runner. The Blades use the special-type abrasion resistant (wear-resistant) materials and the Runner use 06Cr13Ni4Mo materials (for serious erosion situation, Runner can use 06Cr13Ni5Mo). Other parts and components of the turbines use special-type carbon steel. In a word, the whole structure is simple and reliable. For the high water head, the choice will be Axis Inclined Strike Turbine with Horizontal Generator: The Generators’ shafts stretch into hydro turbine and the Generators and Turbine will be connected directly. The whole system is combined as one unit. Water will be intaked and induced by the steel penstocks. Manual worm gear and worm-driven type butterfly valve control the Turbine switch. Generator will be the three (single) phase AC synchronous generator. The comprehensive control cabinet has the collection and display of all the parameters of the Generator, voltage control, frequency control, simple operation, use the protection. The output voltage frequency of the Generator is automatically controlled by the electronic regulator installed in the control cabinet, no need for person to monitor. Major Technical Parameters (Please refer to the sheet below for more details): The rated capacity: 3, 5, 7.5, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 75 KW. The rated voltage: Single-phase 220V (Generally for less than 15 KW). Three-phase 380 V (Generally used for more than 15 KW). Frequency: 50/60 Hz. The rated speed: 1500/1800 RPM. The power factor: 1 (0.8). The generator efficiency: 55% (3 KW) to 75% (75 KW). The "false load" power: Same as the rated capacity. The excitation device type: Harmonic Excitation. Voltage fluctuation range: ±5%. Frequency fluctuation range: 49?51Hz/59?61Hz. How to choose and determine the proper type of equipments for your site? ADDNEW offers design or customization services to any special site or project if the client provides us the following information to ADDNEW: 1) Gross waterhead of the hydro station; 2) Volume of waterflow (M3/S) in both normal seasons and dry seasons. 3) Total capacity (KW) to be installed for the whole hydro station. 4) Local voltage and frequency. 5) Altitude of the site. 6) Primary design of the station if available. 7) Other information or reference pictures related to the hydro station and local power-generating.

The Generator Control and Protection Systems with micro-computers widely apply to high-voltage and low-voltage controlling systems and the automation of the whole hydropower station or plant. Auxiliary electrical equipments, other machines and special tools include speed adjusters, transformers, valves, cranes, step-up substation equipments, etc..
Found in 1958, our factory (had been producing agricultural diesel engines for some years at the beginning) in hydropower products has continuously been one of the national strategic turbine manufacturers in China since year 1995. It has now 86,000 square meters ground area and 48,000 square meters office building area. With over 300 workers and over 100 technicians and engineers, ADDNEW's invested factory is certificated by ISO9000-2000 and CE.
From the start of 2005 to the end of 2010, ADDNEW and our factory have manufactured and installed successfully over 60 small Hydroelectric Power Stations in Albania, Chili, Congo, India, Lithuania, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, Zambia and other overseas markets. The equipments adopted for those hydropower stations are unit-capacity from 800KW to 50MW and the total power generating capacities of each station ranging from 1600KW-200MW. All the stations are now working very well after their installations.
