Jason A. Prescott, CEO of JP Communications INC, directs a network of vertical search engines, advertising networks, and product sourcing directories customized for wholesalers, retailers, importers, discounters and auctioneers.

Anchored by TopTenWholesale.com, the network expands to OffPriceNetwork, Wholezilla and WholesaleU. The vertical TopTenWholesale network serves apparel, accessories, footwear, jewelry and general merchandise businesses. It tracks and publishes the Top Ten Wholesale Trends, providing an industry-expert filtered and refined matching system where buyers, sellers and advertisers can search keyword popularity by date. In March 2009, Prescott successfully merged his company with Manufacturer.com, opening offices in Hangzhou, China under JP Communication's new subsidiary Flat World Media LTD.

Prescott is active in the search marketing community and is knowledgeable in search models and technology. He is a course author for Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization, serving on SEMPO's Education Committee. He has spoken at Search Engine Strategies, SIPPA, SANDIOS, ASD Trade Show, and San Diego Software Council, and is a member of the San Diego Venture Capital Group and High Tech Marketing Association. Prescott has authored articles on B2B and vertical search appearing in B2B Online, OMMA, IMediaConnection, CEO Magazine, Entrepreneur Online. He has been cited in Inc Magazine, Business Week and Forbes Online.

Brian Crook, Board Member

Brian Crook is the founder and President of Cerebra, a venture backed company powering next-generation mobile merchandising and recommendation tools for media publishers and ecommerce sites. He is a seasoned entrepreneur with a broad range of experience in both consumer and enterprise technology companies, spanning online advertising and publishing as well as enterprise software.

Brian has co-founded multiple companies, successfully raised seed-capital, scaled organizations, and has been a key driver on both sides of a merger and acquisition transaction.

Early in his career, Brian was one of the pioneers of the online advertising industry, delivering highly scalable ad-serving, data processing and analytic architecture for aQuantive (now Microsoft Advertising), as well as the technology behind the advertising network for high profile, award winning web-properties managed by Disney Online (Starwave was acquired by Disney Interactive Media Group), including ESPN.com, ABCNews.com, Infoseek and Disney Online.

Brian has decades of experience in diverse leadership roles which have given him a unique blend of deep technology expertise, insightful strategic vision, pragmatic business acumen and proven organizational skills. Most recently, he served as VP Product Development for Software AG, the world's largest independent provider of business infrastructure software. Prior to Software AG, Brian was VP Product Development for webMethods, where he led product strategy and development for the Business Process Metadata Library. Brian came to webMethods through the acquisition of Network Inference/Cerebra where he was VP Engineering. Prior to Cerebra, Brian was a technology lead at Vulcan Inc., Paul Allen's private asset management company, where he was a key contributor to a number of programs in support of the portfolio.

Brian is also an active contributor to the Semantic Web Technology and Web 3.0 community as a frequent speaker and educator.

Les Hughes

Les Hughes, Chief Technology Officer

JPC Inc.'s Chief Technical Officer Les Hughes originally joined JPC in 2006 as lead programmer developing software applications. He recently rejoined the company as CTO responsible for JPC's technical vision and leading technology development. Les has developed custom software applications for the Internet for over ten years. His areas of expertise include search engines, web directories, legal websites, professional communities, news websites and e-commerce sites.

In 2005, Les owned and operated News-spider.com, a site that compiles news articles from thousands of sources, providing users with the most comprehensive news coverage on the net. The news-spider database, which was continuously updated, is organized into hundreds of channels and thousands of topics, allowing users to quickly find news of interest.

Les also owned and developed HS Plugins, which he operated from 2001 to present. This site developed custom software applications for web sites in addition to plugins and add-ons for many third-party platforms. Les specialized in database-driven applications using Perl and MySQL, making it easy to generate and manage dynamic content.

From 1998 to 2001, Les was a freelance programmer developing retail and point of sale applications for Retail Touch, ADP and various companies in the restaurant industry.
