Any discerning antique or unique item shopper will surely get a thing or two of these timeless pieces offered by Silverlake Art* Craft & Vintage starting this February 8 at Micheltorena St. Elementary School in Los Angeles, California. This is the only flea market in Los Angeles where you can enter free-of-charge, especially if you’re up for some cheap thrill and want to avoid those overcrowded and overpriced flea markets in the area. Customer parking is also available sans any charge.
Now in its fifth year, Silverlake Art* Craft & Vintage opens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Its humble venue can accommodate up to 100 vendors. They’re currently accepting sellers who would want to showcase their personalized goods and antique merchandise for vintage lovers and collectors alike. Revolving fashion and funky food trucks abound the flea market. Feast your eyes checking on a huge roster of local art finds as well as indie DIY items and collectibles displayed, so are unique vintage and antique pieces. There are also second hand stocks offered. Best of all, most of the items are sold at surprisingly affordable prices.
For vendors, the daily rental fee costs around $45 for a 10 by 10 foot space, and $60 for a 10 by 20 foot space as well as for food vendors. Yearly rate is $450 for a 10 by 10 foot space, and $600 for a 10 by 20 foot space. The flea market is open every second Saturday of each month through the end of the year. By December, the venue will be open three on three Saturdays and will possibly add other dates throughout the year.
Silverlake Art* Craft & Vintage has been supporting the local elementary school every month where it’s held, as well as the Los Angeles Unified School District. The market is located at 1511 Micheltorena, just right behind the school on Golden Gate (just north of Sunset).
