CES Asia is the Asian branch of the Consumer Electronics Show, the world’s largest electronics trade show. It is returning to China in May, right after the Consumer Electronics China show taking place in April.
Alibaba Group is partnering with the International Funkausstellung Berlin organizers to produce the Consumer Electronics China show in Shenzhen.
CES Asia was held in Shanghai last year and will return this year regardless of conflicts. The Consumer Technology Association sees no problems with conflicts of exhibitors and attendees. Alibaba helped out with CES Asia last year.
China’s large e-commerce industry shows growth, up from more than 600 billion dollars US money to 1.5 trillion in 2018. This is plenty of room for both trade shows to thrive side by side. Consumer Electronics China will showcase new global trends and startups, while CES Asia has a more broad coverage. Consumer Electronics China will take place from April 20 to 22, while CES Asia will be from May 11 to 13.
