Mod-Case: Sustainable and Stylish iPhone Cases

We don’t dare go anywhere without our phones. In a statistical study I took of ten people in my immediate surroundings, the consensus was that 9/10 would rather leave their purse or wallet at home than forget their phone. It may have been a non-scientific poll, but I think the sentiment still stands. We can: pay a tab, call a car, unlock our homes, start our cars and more.  So, our phones have become an extension of our right (or left) hand.

That being said, we treat our phones with as much care as a small child but continue to case them with junky plastic  devoid of style or substance. Mod-Case is here to change that.

Dreamed up over a cup of coffee in New South Wales, Australia, Mod-Case became the solution for the lack of affordable stylish cases on the market. The founders were baffled that people would drop six Benjamins on the newest iPhone, yet encase their phones with something that looked like it belonged in the bin of some “roll-back” special at Wal-Mart.

When assessing the options for phone cases they realized that there was high-end or low-end, no in-between. They set out to make a case that was affordable, but added a touch of style to your permanent accessory. Each case is made from real wood which means that every piece is as unique as the the tree it was crafted out of. They say that, “Society takes all aspects of fashion seriously isn’t it time we extended that to our phones to?” And so, they created the answer to that question.

“Simple, smooth and sustainable,” are the three lovely adjectives to describe the wood utilized in Mod-Case’s products. But, they are also the tenets behind Mod-Case’s design and business practices. To further support their sustainable agenda, they are a proud partner of One Tree Planted which plants a tree for every product sold. Speaking of sales, Mod-Case accepts sales in following manner:
