BacShield® chitosan antimicrobial is an EPA-registered antimicrobial that provides long lasting protection. This all-natural, nontoxic antimicrobial forms an invisible barrier, providing sustained destruction of a broad spectrum of microbes. Chitosan, which is made from crustacean shells predominately crab and shrimp, is the safe, active ingredient in this antimicrobial.
BacShield® antimicrobial is biodegradable and hypoallergenic. Because of its high permissible exposure limit PEL, it can sprayed in a mist without lung damage, eliminating the need for respirators. BacShield® antimicrobial works on both nonporous and porous surfaces, and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
